I am currently working with large manufacturing business who are seeking a strong strategic IT Infrastructure Operations Manager to join their expanding business to help with several key areas which are focused around infrastructure/system migrations as well as helping to strategically align the IT support/operations to fit with the companies wider vision.

We are looking for someone with both hands on leadership experience and a strong technical understanding to help drive infrastructure/system improvements and elevate the IT services across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong technical background in systems administration, networking, and cloud-based services (e.g. Microsoft 365, Azure, etc.).
  • Oversee all internal IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud services, hardware, software, and security protocols.
  • Ensure all IT practices meet relevant compliance standards, including GDPR and cybersecurity best practices. (Ideally experience of utilising either SOX or ISO27001)
  • Proactively monitor and manage potential security risks.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or Senior IT Lead.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and developing a small IT team.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • High level of self-motivation with a proactive mindset and solutions-based approach.
  • Schedule and oversee daily, monthly, and annual IT activities and service deliverables.
  • Ensure data integrity, system uptime, and appropriate disaster recovery procedures.
  • Support and implement company-wide IT improvement projects.
  • Identify and deliver system upgrades or integrations that support operational efficiency. (Inc. EPR)
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand needs and deliver IT solutions that support business goals.
  • Manage relationships with IT service providers and software vendors.


Working arrangements

  • Hybrid, ideally 3 days but possible 2 days in the office for the right person.
  • Flexibility required for international travel
