Security Consultant or Architect - Must have an active DV Clearance

What You'll Be Doing

As an Operational Security Consultant , you will lead and oversee all aspects of security operations , including asset management, securing supply chains, personnel security, and physical security . Your role will involve:
Leading and managing operational security to protect critical systems and environments.
Monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats, ensuring all risks are assessed and mitigated.
Providing expert guidance to teams including architects, project leads, and integration specialists to maintain a secure delivery framework.
Investigating security incidents , analysing activity, identifying unauthorised access, and preventing potential breaches.
Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation and external agencies to ensure compliance with security policies.
Developing and delivering security training to ensure all staff are well-versed in security protocols and best practices.
Ensuring policy adherence by acting as the primary security point of contact for internal teams and external agencies.
Managing classified materials , handling secure information transfers, and maintaining compliance with strict regulatory standards.

What You'll Bring

Proven experience in Security Consultant/Architect/Management with a deep understanding of security policies, risk mitigation, and incident response .
Experience as a Security Officer (STRAPSO highly desirable) with strong asset management skills.
MUST have NIST 800 53
Secure by Design (SbD) experience
Strong leadership skills , capable of working across teams and disciplines to enhance security operations.
Expertise in incident classification, response, and reporting , with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate evolving threats.
Ability to manage security training , document security policies, and conduct audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
Excellent communication skills , capable of advising both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
