💰 Salary: Up to £65,000 base + £65,000 OTE (uncapped)

About the Role

As Head of Business Development - Education, you will lead efforts to grow market share, boost revenue, and forge strong partnerships with educational institutions. You'll combine commercial acumen with deep sector knowledge to deliver innovative, tailored technology solutions that solve real-world challenges in schools, colleges, and other education settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to grow revenue and margin within the education sector.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with schools, academies, trusts, and education bodies.
  • Design and present compelling technology proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate across internal teams to ensure seamless delivery from lead to contract.
  • Negotiate contracts and optimise resource allocation to maximise profitability.
  • Represent the organisation at events, trade shows, and in industry forums.

    About You

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the education or edtech space.
  • Track record of exceeding revenue targets and building lasting client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tech solutions simply.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial instincts.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Motivated, results-focused, and collaborative in nature.

    Ideal Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a business development role, ideally in education or technology.
  • In-depth understanding of digital learning, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and network services in the education sector.
