The opportunity:
We are currently expanding our Bristol-based Cyber Security Consulting Team practice and are looking to recruit a number of Cyber Security Consultant Graduates. You must be a recent Graduate in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering who has the drive, a keen passion for all things IT, and the enthusiasm to play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of cyber security across our external customers and in-house product delivery teams. This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to work on some of the UK’s leading-edge cyber security projects, that will have a direct impact on protecting the UK now and in the future.
Reporting to a Senior Cyber Security Consultant, with tasking guided by our Head of Consulting, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge helping to provide comprehensive and effective cyber security and resilience support to a number of customer delivery scenarios as well as on your own assigned cyber security development project.
As a Cyber Security Consultant Graduate, you will work alongside experienced IT professionals to identify and mitigate potential security risks, analyze security threats, and develop solutions to protect our customers' systems and data. Within this time, you will be provided the opportunity and fully supported to work towards industry-recognized professional cyber security certifications and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary role of a Cyber Security Consultant Graduate is to apply an understanding of cyber threats, hazards, risks, controls, measures, and mitigation to protect organisations and people.
Those focused on the technical side will work on areas such as security design and architecture, security testing, investigations & response.
Those focused on the risk analysis side will work on areas such as operations, risk, governance, and compliance.
Whether focused on the technical or risk analysis side, all people in this occupation work to achieve required security outcomes in a legal and regulatory context. You will develop and apply practical knowledge in information security to deliver solutions that fulfill the organisation's requirements.
Gain invaluable experience by learning challenging theory and applying this on-the-job.
Develop the knowledge and skills required, such as how to defend against attack techniques and sources of threat, risk management, and building a security case, to equip you to be a future Cyber Security Consultant.
Requirements:
All of our roles require (a) a minimum of a 2:2 Bachelors/Integrated Master’s degree, or (b) a higher degree, such as an MSc or PhD in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a suitably related subject.
Please note that in order to apply for this opportunity you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance . Normally this is to the level of Security Check (typically known as “SC”) for our business which includes having a minimum of five years permanent residency in the UK .
