We are looking for an individual who brings ideas, enthusiasm, and a collaborative approach, with the primary objective of supporting existing team members while enhancing the delivery of security-focused updates and improvements to the infrastructure.

The role will be primarily network focused; however, due to the size of the team, there will also be opportunities and expectations to contribute to wider infrastructure and security projects.

  • Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues across the business
  • Work closely with internal teams to maintain a secure and stable IT environment
  • Assist with documentation, change management, and operational procedures
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet/FortiGate technologies
  • Experience with Cisco networking and patch management
  • Good understanding of network security principles and best practices
  • Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues
  • Knowledge of switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall policies
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to contribute ideas and improvements
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working within small infrastructure or IT teams
  • Exposure to infrastructure and security project delivery
  • Relevant Fortinet or Cisco certifications

Where to Advertise Cyber Security Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise cyber security jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, communities and channels that reach offensive, defensive and GRC security talent. The candidate pool is small, heavily vetted and in high demand across government, financial services, critical national infrastructure and the private sector simultaneously. Many of the strongest candidates hold active security clearances, are not actively job-searching through general platforms, and move primarily through specialist networks and trusted referrals. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that security professionals expect. Specialist platforms, government-affiliated channels and cleared candidate networks each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by CybersecurityJobs.tech, covers where to advertise cyber security roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
