Network Engineer

Location: Portsmouth (4 days onsite / 1 day remote)

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + benefits

Travel: Nationwide travel required

Chapman Tate Associates are proud to be partnering with a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) to recruit a talented Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco and Aruba technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking, customer-focused organisation delivering high-quality network solutions across a diverse portfolio of clients nationwide.

The Role

As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, deployment, and support of complex network infrastructures, primarily leveraging Cisco and Aruba technologies. You will work both on-site in Portsmouth and across client locations throughout the UK, supporting a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, and support Cisco and Aruba network solutions

- Deliver network implementation and upgrade projects for clients nationwide

- Provide 2nd/3rd line support for network-related incidents and service requests

- Perform network troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performance optimisation

- Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure high service delivery standards

- Maintain network documentation and ensure best practices are followed

- Support pre-sales activities when required (solution design, technical input)

Key Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with:

- Cisco networking (routing, switching, firewalls)

- Aruba networking solutions (WLAN, switching, ClearPass is a plus)

- TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, WAN/LAN environments

- Network security principles

- Experience working within an MSP or multi-client environment (highly desirable)

- Relevant certifications such as CCNA / CCNP / Aruba ACMA / ACMP are advantageous

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
