Senior IT Engineer

  • Location:Soho
  • Salary:£35k-£39k
  • Type:Full-time, Hybrid
  • Reporting to:Head of IT

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading organization based in Soho.

Role Purpose

  • Ensure smooth operations by providing technical support across various platforms and devices.
  • Improve client environments through proactive suggestions and technology optimizations.
  • Act as a key technical resource with the ability to work independently and bring value through expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently, including technical implementations and problem-solving.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Defender, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID.
  • Deploy and support network and wireless infrastructure using Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, and similar technologies.
  • Provide desktop and mobile device management using MDM tools like Intune.
  • Support both on-premise and cloud servers (Azure, AWS, VMWare, Nutanix, Windows, Linux).
  • Manage phone systems (Cisco Call Manager, 8x8, Teams Calling) for both on-site and cloud solutions.

Requirements

  • 5 years+ of experience in technical support roles, demonstrating strong autonomy and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and translating technical information.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards like Cyber Essentials or ISO27001 is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, MCSA, MS SC-200, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Fundamentals).
  • Able to work well within a team
  • Able to work independently, be responsible and able to use own initiative
