Salary:£23,561.25 per annum pro rata

1. The Department

The Club’s Security and Matchday Safety Department are vital to the Club in ensuring that our people and premises are safe and protected. We provide a 24/7 service across all Club sites and the department is now expanding to ensure we can continue to deliver excellence in service and security.

2. The Role

Working as part of a team of Security Compliance Officers, you will oversee and maintain the security protocols at the Club’s Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and provide an onsite, visible security presence. You will be a Club ambassador and provide a welcoming and professional first impression to any staff and visitors. The role will be incredibly varied, and your day-to-day activities will include (but not limited to), managing contractors, responding to any on site incidents, regular patrols, reporting any security breaches, monitoring CCTV systems and access control, update security logs, checklists and any other documentation as required for recording and evidential purposes. You may also be asked to provide cover at other Club sites including (but not limited to) Villa Park and Brookvale as and when required.

3. The Person

You must hold a current SIA Security Guard Licence and have previous experience in a Security Officer role. You must also be available to work shift pattern arrangements which will include working flexibly across days, nights and weekends. A SIA CCTV Operator licence (or be willing to work towards) is also needed.

You will need to be able to respond and attend onsite incidents with experience of managing and resolving potential conflict and challenging situations in a professional manner whilst maintaining confidentiality wherever possible.

You will be a team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude, to achieve a common goal as well as someone who has excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to build relationships with different audiences.
