*** Cyber Security Project Manager - London Market Insurance - London or Birmingham locations - Hybrid Working - 6 month Contract with view to extend***


A leading London Market Insurance business based in the UK is looking to hire a Cyber Security Project Manager with experience in the Insurance or financial services sector to drive a new Cyber Security project to completion. The role focuses on Vulnerability Management & Assessment, and Remediation Processes, overseeing end-to-end delivery. The candidate should be familiar with both waterfall and Agile methodologies, and possess expertise in Cybersecurity, Secure Builds, Configuration Management, and Vulnerability Management.


The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with extensive experience working in Wagile environments and a strong background in Cyber Security, Configuration Management, and Vulnerability Management. Experience in financial services or insurance is preferred. The role requires working with stakeholders, CISO, and Programme Managers, and familiarity with vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, or Vulcan Cyber. Knowledge of frameworks like Cyber Essentials, NIST, or ISO27001 is also required.


Key Skills


  • 10+ years of Cybersecurity Project Management experience
  • Experience in Insurance or wider financial services
  • At least 5 years in information security, including Secure Configuration Management, Secure Builds, Vulnerability Management & Assessment, and Remediation Processes
  • Experience with Waterfall/Agile (Wagile) methodologies
  • Experience working with steering committees, demand management, service transition, project plans, and Project SteerCo
  • Proficiency with vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Vulcan Cyber)
  • Experience in developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
