As a Security Engineer at Conferma, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our infrastructure and applications. You will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and responding to security threats, managing vulnerability assessments, and supporting the implementation of security controls across the organisation.


The responsibilities include:

  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents using tools such as Rapid7, Microsoft Defender Suite, and Tenable One.
  • Perform regular vulnerability scans and ensure timely remediation of identified issues.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices and harden systems.
  • Maintain and improve security alerting and monitoring capabilities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of security incidents and contribute to post-incident reviews.
  • Manage and track security-related tasks and projects using Jira.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
  • Support compliance initiatives and audits as required.


What you'll have:

  • Proven experience in a Security Analyst or Security Engineer role.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools such as Rapid7, Defender Suite, Tenable One, or comparable alternatives.
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms and endpoint protection technologies.
  • Experience with ticketing and workflow tools like Jira.
  • Solid knowledge of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent).
  • Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with cloud security (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Exposure to regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
