Personal Assistant – Barclays

Role Location: London

Contract Length: 6 months

PAYE only

Overall Purpose of the Role:

Barclays is seeking an experienced Personal Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to senior leadership within a newly structured team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting multiple high-level executives as they transition into their roles. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide PA support to senior executives, including Managing Directors and Directors.

Manage complex diaries and scheduling across multiple time zones.

Coordinate UK and occasional international travel, including accommodation and logistics.

Process expenses using internal systems (e.g., Travelex).

Organize off-site events, including venue booking, catering, and speaker coordination.

Manage stakeholder interactions, including coordination with Tesco Bank following Barclays’ acquisition.

Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Collaborate effectively with wider teams to support seamless operations.

Key Skills:

Strong PA/Executive Assistant experience, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.

Proficiency in diary management, travel coordination, and expense systems.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Experience handling off-site event planning and logistics.

A proactive, team-player mindset with a keen eye for detail.
