What You'll Be Doing

As anOperational Security Consultant, you will lead and oversee all aspects ofsecurity operations, includingasset management, securing supply chains, personnel security, and physical security. Your role will involve:

Leading and managingoperational security to protect critical systems and environments.Monitoring, detecting, and respondingto security threats, ensuring all risks are assessed and mitigated.Providing expert guidanceto teams including architects, project leads, and integration specialists to maintain a secure delivery framework.Investigating security incidents, analysing activity, identifying unauthorised access, and preventing potential breaches.Engaging with stakeholdersacross the organisation and external agencies to ensure compliance with security policies.Developing and delivering security trainingto ensure all staff are well-versed in security protocols and best practices.Ensuring policy adherenceby acting as theprimary security point of contactfor internal teams and external agencies.Managing classified materials, handling secure information transfers, and maintaining compliance with strict regulatory standards.

What You'll Bring

Proven experienceinOperational Security Management, with a deep understanding ofsecurity policies, risk mitigation, and incident response.Experience as a Security Officer(STRAPSO highly desirable) with strong asset management skills. MUST haveNIST 800 53Secure by Design (SbD)experienceStrong leadership skills, capable of working across teams and disciplines to enhance security operations.Expertise in incident classification, response, andreporting, with the ability toidentify, assess, and mitigateevolving threats.Ability to manage security training, document security policies, and conduct audits to ensure ongoing compliance.Excellent communication skills, capable of advising both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
