The KPMG Audit Technology team is dedicated to building cutting-edge solutions in close collaboration with the Audit function. We blend audit expertise with the latest technology to understand our customers' challenges and develop products that simplify their lives while promoting Audit Quality.

The KPMG Clara engineering team focuses on building Analytics and AI products for our Audit business, utilizing cloud technologies to support our audit colleagues effectively.

As a key team member, you will work with Product Owners, Solution and Cloud Architects, Experience Designers, Business Analysts, and Testing specialists to develop and manage a portfolio of innovative products.

Why Join KPMG's Audit Technology Team?

This role involves managing the security operations of our Azure-based platforms within the Audit Data Solutions team, reporting to the Security Architecture & Advisory team to ensure security policies align with KPMG’s frameworks.

In this Security Engineer role, you will manage multiple workstreams, support secure development and deployment, participate in security audits, and improve security measures. You will help strengthen our systems against threats and promote security awareness across the organization.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop and maintain security processes per KPMG's trust and verify framework.
  • Support the design and management of security processes and automated tools.
  • Conduct threat modeling and security-focused code reviews.
  • Support penetration testing and vulnerability remediation.
  • Manage logging and SIEM integration for SOC monitoring.
  • Lead incident response and risk management efforts.
  • Promote cloud security principles within the engineering team.
  • Coordinate with central security teams and contribute to security communities of practice.

What will you need to do it?

  • Strong understanding of security controls in Azure environments.
  • Experience in developing cloud-native applications with infrastructure-as-code (preferably Terraform).
  • Knowledge of securing containerized applications, APIs, and web applications.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated security checks.
  • Proficiency with Git and modern programming languages (Java, Python, Go, JavaScript).
  • Awareness of security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability.
  • Autonomy and problem-solving initiative.

Skills we'd love to see/Amazing Extras:

Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer AZ-500, Cybersecurity Architect SC-100, Security Operations SC-200, Microsoft Identity SC-300, or CISSP are highly desirable.
