Location: Remote
Alternate weekly shifts 07:00 – 15:00 and 11:00 – 19:00 - Monday to Friday
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Security Engineer to join our IT Security Team, which is part of IT Infrastructure and Services here at Voyage Care.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience at an engineering level, with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Network Infrastructure and Endpoint security.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the Security design, implementation, and management of Voyage Care’s IT network infrastructure, cloud infrastructure and other platforms.
Investigate security related incidents, provide remediation actions and follow this through to incident closure.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
Collaborate with the IT Security and Network Team Lead to develop and update security policies and procedures and security guidance.
Provide technical guidance and support to other IT team members on security-related issues.
Stay up to date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices.
Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident reports and RCA documentation.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Actively participate in annual security testing exercises

Experience
At least 5 years of experience in IT security engineering or a related field.
Proven experience with Microsoft 365 security configurations.
Experience in configuring Microsoft Conditional Access rules.
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation.
In-depth understanding of Microsoft Azure security features and best practices, including (but not limited to):
Azure Security Centre
Azure Policy
Azure Entra ID and identity management
Azure Key Vault
Azure Networking security features (NSGs, ASGs, DDoS Protection, etc.)
Security information and event management (SIEM), preferably using the Exabeam platform
Knowledge of security hardening Microsoft servers within Azure

Compliance and regulatory standards for Azure environments
Hands-on experience configuring Endpoint security using Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Defender XDR.
Coding and Scripting: The ability to author and write scripted solutions to automate processes, improve operating efficiency and remediate issues using PowerShell, KQL and Python, etc.
 Qualifications

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AZ-500 are highly desirable.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
