About The Role

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated IT Security Analyst to join our IT Security team in managing and enhancing cybersecurity across our UK and US operations. This role is pivotal in assessing alerts and threats, conducting thorough investigations, and engaging in proactive threat hunting. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure and development teams for effective threat remediation. A key aspect of your role will involve working alongside our security partners to maintain a robust security posture. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating both technical and procedural documentation to guide remediation efforts and improve our security protocols. The office is based inBarton-Upon-Humber and there are opportunities for hybrid/remote work within this role. However, applicants must be able to reliably commute to the office as and when required.Main responsibilities:Monitor and analyse security alerts, employing various tools and technologies within the IT environment Experience in EDR platforms is advantageous Conduct thorough investigations and proactive threat hunting using a variety of information sources Actively work on enhancing the security posture of our operations in both the UK and US, recommending and implementing improved security measures Maintain awareness of and compliance with relevant security policies and regulations Familiarity with ISO and NIST frameworks is advantageous Prepare and present regular security reports Coordinate closely with infrastructure and development teams to ensure effective remediation of security threats Stay updated with current cybersecurity trends and threats, and engage in ongoing learning to improve professional skillsWhat Wren offer:Benenden health insurance and discounts platform Life assurance after 2 years' service Eye care vouchers EE discounts Staff discount on Wren products Refer a friend scheme Free onsite gym

About You

Desired skills and knowledge:Incident Handling: experience conducting or managing incident response, investigating targeted threats such as the Advanced Persistent Threat, Organized Crime, and Hactivists. Computer Forensic Analysis: a background using a variety of forensic analysis tools in incident response investigations to determine the extent and scope of compromise. Systems Administration: an understanding of system internals is required to understand how to implement and execute countermeasures and remediation across many different systems such as macOS, Windows, Linux and Android. Incident Remediation: strong understanding of targeted attacks and able to create customized tactical and strategic remediation plans for compromised organizations. Programming/Scripting: some experience coding/scripting in languages such as Powershell, C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and.NET. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively, while having strong verbal and communication skills. Knowledge of security and data protection frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF. Cybersecurity certifications: CompTIA Security+, Certified SOC Analyst (CSA), Microsoft SC-900, Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) and GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) are beneficial but not required. Familiarity with tools such as Zscaler Products, Mimecast Products, CrowdStrike Products, SIEM Products, Cisco Products (ISE, NDR, XDR), Microsoft Defender, Azure, AWS, Cloudflare, Jamf.
