Rate: £700p/d (Inside IR35)
Start: ASAP

Deerfoot IT Recruitment is assisting a leading global financial services organisation in the search for an experienced IT Project Manager to join the CISO function on a contract basis.

This is a broad IT delivery role within the Chief Information Security Office (CISO), but does not require deep cybersecurity expertise. The successful candidate will manage a variety of technology-related projects, working closely with internal teams in London and coordinating alignment with the Head Office in Tokyo. As such, fluency in Japanese is essential, both spoken and written.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the delivery of IT and business-aligned projects from planning through to implementation.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

Support the alignment of the UK-based Centre of Excellence with the Head Office structure in Japan.

Produce and maintain core project artefacts including schedules, status reports, risk logs, and stakeholder communications.

Liaise across infrastructure, operations, and risk teams to ensure consistent project execution.

Candidate Profile:

Proven experience delivering IT or business change projects within large, complex environments (ideally financial services).

Excellent organisational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Comfortable navigating cross-cultural and multi-lingual environments.

Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Fluency in Japanese (both written and spoken) is essential due to regular collaboration with Tokyo-based teams.

Desirable:

Exposure to cybersecurity projects or teams is helpful but not essential.

Experience coordinating with international offices or global teams.

Knowledge of project delivery frameworks (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong IT Project Manager to work within a high-performing function of a global financial institution, gain exposure to security operations, and act as a key point of coordination between UK and Japanese operations.

The demand for skilled cyber security professionals in the UK has never been higher. With threats increasing in sophistication and frequency, organisations are urgently hiring ethical hackers, threat analysts, GRC specialists, and security architects.
