Job Title: IT Assistant (3-month contract - with the potential to extend!)

About our client: Our reputable client is a leading organisation in the healthcare sector, dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative solutions and exceptional service. We are committed to excellence and are looking for an IT Assistant to join the team.

We are seeking an IT Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our company. The ideal candidate will assist with hardware and software maintenance, provide technical support to staff, and help ensure the smooth running of IT systems across the organization.

IT Assistant - Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff via email, phone, or in person.

  • Liaise with external IT support.

  • Set up new user accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.

  • Monitor and maintain IT inventory and asset records.

  • Assist with IT onboarding for new employees.

  • Support the implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.

  • Maintain documentation of systems and processes.

  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as needed.

    IT Assistant -Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar IT support or helpdesk role.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

  • IT-related qualification or proven experience.

    IT Assistant - Desirable Skills:

  • Good knowledge of common office-related IT issues.

  • Asset Management.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

  • Familiarity with remote support tools.

    IT Assistant - Benefits:

  • All employees receive 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part time employees). This increases to 29 days (after 5 years’ service) and 33 days (after 10 years’ service).
