Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (Associate/VP)

We are now seeking an experiencedSenior IT Infrastructure Engineerto join our team.

Role Overview:
As aSenior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimising our IT infrastructure. You will ensure our systems meet business needs and industry regulations while supporting day-to-day operations and strategic projects. This is anoffice-based roleto facilitate on-the-job learning and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments.

  • Lead infrastructure projects aligned with the company's technology strategies.

  • Manage Windows and Linux-based systems, virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud services (365 & Azure).

  • Oversee network security, firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity measures ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

  • Develop automation and scripting solutions to improve operational efficiency (PowerShell, etc.).

  • Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring.

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, troubleshooting technical issues and collaborating with internal teams and vendors.

  • Ensure disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) strategies are in place and tested regularly.

  • Stay informed on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and financial service regulations.

Professional Experience Required:

  • Minimumthree years' experiencein IT support within a customer service-focused environment.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of seniority.

  • Ability to manage pressure effectively, with a proactive and positive attitude.

  • Analytical thinking and persistence in solving complex issues.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Previous experience working in asmaller corporate environment(<500 employees) is desirable.

Technical Expertise:

  • Expertise in complex infrastructure environments across multiple sites.

  • Proficient inWindows Server 2016-2025,Azure Cloud/AD,SSO/MFA.

  • Virtualisation knowledge:VMware (ESXi, vCenter)andHyper-V.

  • Advanced experience inActive Directory,Group Policy, andSCCM.

  • Skilled inPowerShell scripting,Microsoft Intune, andOffice 365.

  • Strong background inVeeambackup solutions andNetAppstorage.

  • Knowledge ofCisconetworking fundamentals andFortinet firewalls.

  • Familiarity withCitrix Virtual Apps & Desktops,NetScaler, andMitel Telephone Systems.

  • Experience with financial services tools such asBloomberg,Refinitiv,FactSet, andFidessa.

  • Experience inSQL Server database management & administrationis beneficial.
