Shawbrook is a fast-growing specialist bank with bold plans for growth, and cyber security is at the heart of it. We’re building an in-house capability to get ahead of infrastructure-level threats and reduce our dependency on third-party providers.
This is a

brand-new role , and you'll be our

first dedicated Infrastructure Cyber Security Engineer . If you're excited by ownership, visibility, and being part of a hands-on improvement program, we want to hear from you.

What you’ll do
Own threat visibility and monitoring across our SD-WAN and network perimeter
Investigate, triage and remediate suspicious activity and vulnerabilities
Collaborate with internal teams and managed vendors to improve control
Lead on technical security improvements and proactive risk reduction
Work closely with engineering teams to shift from reactive to proactive

Tech you’ll use
SD-WAN (Velocloud)
Web Application Firewall (F5 Silverline)
Core networking tools and visibility platforms (we’re building this with you)
?

What you’ll bring
Strong infrastructure and network security experience
Hands-on troubleshooting, root cause analysis and remediation
A proactive mindset — you won’t wait for alerts
Knowledge of perimeter security, visibility tooling, and SD-WAN/WAFs
Comfortable working cross-functionally in a regulated, agile environment

You’ll report to our

Head of Corporate Infrastructure , work daily with our

Cyber Programme Lead , and partner closely with our Cloud and Desk-side engineers. You’ll also be supported by our

CISO

and work alongside leading external vendors.
