ICT Security Analyst

Code Red are currently working with a public sector client of ours who are currently looking to appoint a ICT Security Analyst to their team. You’ll be working with the ICT Infrastructure Support Manager to provide excellence in Cyber Security with responsibility for safeguarding of information and technology assets. You will be leading the reporting, awareness, documentation and audit activities, while identifying the latest technology security advancements.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring for attacks, intrusions and unusual or unauthorised activity
Monitoring identity and access to network and applications
Using and configuring security tools including MDM, Web and Email Security Gateway, SOC/SIEM, etc
Keeping up to date with emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them using the latest security and technology developments
Planning and testing disaster recovery processes
A passion for cyber security and risk minded approach
Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, Microsoft products including Windows operating systems, and applications, hardware and security.
Knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, intrusion and data loss prevention and anti-virus
Knowledge of identity management, patch management and best practice.
Knowledge of security threat vectors and ways to manage them (email, web, social engineering, endpoints etc)
Ability to keep up to date on new and emerging threats and how they apply to our environment
Understanding of the key principles around Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability
Experience of supporting mobile technologies and understanding of security risks associated with it
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns and trends
Verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, with an ability to communicate with a range of technical and non-technical colleagues
Excellent attention to detail
Experience in a similar role for 1 year or moreDesirable:

A Security Certification
An understanding of the ISO27001 framework and Cyber Essentials
