The Opportunity

  • Responsible for all company IT and Information Security matters.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce a strategic and comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with ISO27001, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information owned, controlled, and processed by the company.
  • Ensure that systems remain secure and all users, whether internal or external, have access to only pre-approved and authorised information, functions, and processes.
  • Own ICT Projects and provide guidance and assistance on other business project
    Your duties and responsibilities will be
  • Lead and manage the IT team including third party resources, ensuring effective resource utilization for service delivery.
  • Oversee all Information Systems for effective and secure use.
  • Oversee IT onboarding, offboarding, and employee variations.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of secure communication solutions (devices, network, applications) aligned with business needs.
  • Reduce business risk by managing relevant IT and Security training for all system users.
  • Work with Department Heads to assist with reviews of current business processes, offering advice to re-engineer them for efficiency, compliance, and security.
  • Report on all aspects of ICT, using data to establish clear performance targets and define corresponding action plans.
  • Manage the ICT projects portfolio, ensuring all change is documented and liaising with colleagues and third parties for successful project completion.
  • Manage all ICT procurement following established processes
  • Submit position papers to senior management for ICT equipment, systems, and software, in addition to any major change requests.
  • Manage all information security-related risk according to accepted information security standards (ISMS, ISO27001, NIST, CIS, and Cyber Essentials).
  • Responsible for all IT and information security policies, standards, and guidelines, overseeing their approval, training, compliance, and communication.
  • Monitor, assess, and remediate business information security vulnerabilities, ensuring mitigation rules are put in place and long-term risks added to the risk register.
  • Ensure a register of all information assets is kept, monitoring their risk and coordinating the response, investigation, and remediation/mitigation of any incidents, vulnerabilities, and issues arising from evolving security threats.
  • Provide advice to the senior management team on strategic ICT decisions and its governance, in relation to IT security and IT operations.
  • Keep up to date with legislation, regulations, and best practice standards for records management and information compliance, attending relevant training and events
    You will have the following qualifications & experience:
  • Hands-on experience and strong proficiency with the following technologies are essential:
  • Microsoft Azure: Strong expertise in managing, securing, and optimizing Azure environments, including IaaS, PaaS, networking, security services (Azure Security Centre/Defender for Cloud), and identity management (Azure AD).
  • Microsoft 365 E5 Suite & Security Tools: Strong proficiency in managing and securing the M365 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Defender for Endpoint/Identity/Cloud Apps, and Purview.
  • Experience in managing relationships with MDR providers (specifically Arctic Wolf preferred) and external firewall teams.
  • Familiarity with network concepts and the ability to work with Meraki devices.
  • Proficiency in using IT Service Management platforms (e.g., Freshservice).
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (ISO27001, NIST, CIS Controls, Cyber Essentials).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
