The key responsibilities of the Head of ICT & Digital position will include, but not be limited to the following areas:

Shaping and Leading Digital Strategy: You will drive the creation and execution of a forward-thinking digital and data strategy, aligning with organisational goals and sector trends.

Inspiring and Managing Teams: As a leader, you will manage and nurture a high-performing team of digital and technology experts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Enhancing Digital Platforms: You will oversee the development and optimisation of key digital platforms to ensure they meet strategic objectives and user needs.

Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with departments and senior leadership to align digital and data initiatives with broader organisational goals and service plans.

Drive Efficiency Through Technology: Guiding and collaborating with external partners, you will leverage new technologies, improving operational efficiency and supporting service delivery.

Lead Digital Innovation & Enhance Engagement: Driving cutting-edge digital initiatives using technologies like AI and machine learning, you will improve user experiences and boost staff and community engagement.

Ensuring Performance, Compliance & Security: You will set clear goals, monitor ROI, and manage resources efficiently, while ensuring all digital platforms meet the highest standards of data protection, cybersecurity, and compliance.

Profile

As the successful candidate for the Head of Digital & ICT position, you will have the following profile:

Experienced Leader: You will bring 8+ years in digital strategy and data management, including 5+ years in leadership roles within fast-paced, digital-first organisations. Your background will span data analytics, business intelligence, and digital tools, with a proven ability to drive change and innovation.

Tech-Savvy & Forward-Thinking: You will be proficient in tools like Tableau, Power BI, SEO, SEM, and social media analytics, and have a strong grasp of emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and cloud computing. You'll be able to demonstrate an ability to always be ahead of the curve, and show a passion for staying updated with digital trends and best practices.

Strong Project Management & Problem-Solving: As a proven IT leader, you will have experience with Agile methodologies and be a skilled problem-solver, using data-driven insights to tackle complex challenges. Your communication skills will allow you to translate complex ideas clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Passionate About Growth: A natural leader, you will have a strong track record in building and nurturing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. You will also have a solid understanding of data protection regulations like the Data Protection Act.

Job Offer

Starting salary of £61,075 - £68,167.
