What You’ll Be Doing

  • Researching and identifying prospective clients across key verticals

  • Engaging with prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn to qualify interest

  • Booking meetings for senior sales and technical teams

  • Collaborating closely with marketing and sales leadership to refine messaging

  • Managing and tracking activity through CRM tools

  • Continuously learning about cybersecurity, our product, and the industry

    What We’re Looking For

We’re open-minded on background, but here’s what the best people in this role tend to have:

  • 0–2 years of sales experience (grads welcome!)

  • Grit, resilience, and bags of energy – you take initiative and get things done

  • A mature attitude towards learning – you’re hungry to develop your skills and knowledge

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - this is a must!

  • Experience in telephone-based sales is a big plus

  • Interest in or exposure to cybersecurity or IT sales is a bonus, but not expected

    What You’ll Get

A chance to build your career at the very start of an ambitious company’s journey

  • Uncapped commission structure with real earning potential

  • Regular training and professional development

  • Access to mentors and sales leaders who’ve built teams and companies before

  • Hybrid working model with flexibility and autonomy

  • A workplace culture that rewards effort, celebrates learning, and grows people

    Why Now?

There’s never been a better time to get into cybersecurity. It’s one of the fastest-growing industries in the world and we’re right at the centre of it. By joining RMI Cyber now, you’ll help shape the future of the company and your own career from day one.

The Future of Cybersecurity Jobs: Careers That Don’t Exist Yet

Cybersecurity has moved from a specialist concern to a national and global priority. Once seen as an IT issue, it is now a boardroom subject, a government responsibility, and a daily reality for individuals. With the increasing reliance on digital infrastructure, cloud platforms, and artificial intelligence, the risks posed by cyber threats have never been higher. The UK’s cybersecurity sector is thriving. It is home to thousands of companies offering defence services, penetration testing, encryption solutions, and critical infrastructure protection. Demand for cybersecurity skills continues to rise, with both the public and private sector investing heavily to defend against ransomware, nation-state cyber operations, and new forms of digital crime. Yet the industry is still at the beginning of its journey. The technologies that will define the next two decades—artificial intelligence, quantum computing, extended reality, and the Internet of Things—are only just starting to reshape cybersecurity. This means that many of the most important cybersecurity jobs of the future don’t even exist today. This article explores why new roles will emerge, what they might look like, how today’s jobs will evolve, why the UK is well-positioned to lead, and how professionals can prepare.
