Fire & Security Engineer – Service
Salary: £35,000 – £43,000 DOE
Location: Covering the South East
Working Hours: 8 hours per day, flexible
Call Out Rota: 1 in 5 weeks (Standby: £175)

The business supports a diverse client base including property management companies, the NHS, airports, commercial businesses, and the education sector. Accredited to NSI Silver, Safe Contractor, and Construction Line standards, the company values long-term client relationships and is investing in growth following recent staff retirements.

Role Overview

A skilled Fire & Security Engineer – Service is required to join a growing team. This position focuses heavily on Access Control systems and will involve servicing and maintaining various security and life safety systems. Ideal for someone with a strong technical background who wants to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

Service and maintenance of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and intercom systems
Diagnose and repair faults across a variety of industry-leading systems
Deliver high standards of customer service on-site
Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks)
Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
Work an 8-hour flexible day, with paid travel time
Systems and Manufacturers Supported

Access Control: Grosvenor, Brevo, Paxton, TDSI
CCTV: Avigilon, Flir, Dahua, Hikvision, IndigoVision
Intruder Alarms: Ajax, Pyronix, Texecom
Entry Systems: Aiphone, BPT, Comelit, Videx
Candidate Requirements

Essential:

Strong knowledge of Access Control systems
Proven experience with fire and security systems
Full UK driving licence
Located within 30 minutes of Barnet, Broomfield, Kent, or Hampshire client sites
Desirable:

Experience working on NHS or public sector sites
Familiarity with current fire/safety compliance standards
Desire to train and progress within the business
Salary & Benefits

Salary: £35,000 – £43,000 DOE
Pension: 3% employer contribution
Company Vehicle: Van or car with personal use, fuel/credit card included
On-Call Payment: £175 per week standby
Bonus: Discretionary Christmas bonus based on company performance
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
Travel Time: 30 minutes each way paid
Training: Full cross-training on fire or security systems available
