On behalf of our client, we are seeking a proficient Associate in Data Privacy and Cybersecurity to become part of their global team located in London. The ideal candidate will possess one to six years of relevant experience, particularly in managing data privacy and cybersecurity matters. Experience with artificial intelligence matters is also desirable. This is an exceptional opportunity for those who have a profound interest in the field of data privacy and cybersecurity.
Generous salary range of £210,000 - £307,000

What you'll do:
As an Associate in Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with cybersecurity preparedness and responding to data breaches. You will conduct regulatory investigations related to data privacy and cybersecurity issues. Your responsibilities will also encompass developing legally compliant data privacy and cybersecurity programmes in the UK and/or EU. You will be involved in performing due diligence for data privacy and cybersecurity during M&A support. Drafting privacy policies and negotiating data processing agreements will also be part of your regular tasks.
Assist in cybersecurity preparedness and data breach response
Conduct regulatory investigations pertaining to data privacy and cybersecurity issues
Develop legally compliant data privacy and cybersecurity programmes in the UK and/ or EU (including for GDPR, NIS2, DORA and other laws relating to data and operational resilience)
Perform data privacy and cybersecurity due diligence and M&A support
Draft privacy policies and negotiate data processing agreements
What you bring:
The ideal Associate in Data Privacy and Cybersecurity will bring 1-6 years of relevant experience, including managing data privacy and cybersecurity matters. Experience with artificial intelligence matters is also highly valued. You should be capable of assisting with cybersecurity preparedness, respond to data breaches, conduct regulatory investigations related to these issues, develop legally compliant programmes in the UK/EU, perform due diligence during M&A support, draft privacy policies, negotiate data processing agreements.
1-6 years of relevant experience in managing data privacy and cybersecurity matters
Experience with artificial intelligence matters
Capability to assist with cybersecurity preparedness and data breach response
Experience conducting regulatory investigations relating to data privacy and cybersecurity issues
Experience developing legally compliant data privacy and cybersecurity programmes in the UK and/ or EU
Experience performing data privacy and cybersecurity due diligence during M&A support
Experience drafting privacy policies and negotiating data processing agreements
