A leading U.S. law firm is seeking a UK-qualified associate with 2-4 years' post-qualification experience to join its London-based Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity team. This is a rare opportunity to work on complex privacy, cybersecurity, and digital regulatory matters for some of the world's most innovative companies. The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in UK and EU data protection law, strong academic credentials, and excellent communication skills.
The team advises clients across a wide array of industries, including technology, life sciences, finance, and connected mobility. Work includes GDPR and UK GDPR compliance, cross-border data transfers, incident response, regulatory investigations, and litigation before UK and EU courts. The role also offers the chance to engage in emerging areas of digital regulation such as the DSA, DMA, AI Act, and OSA, while collaborating closely with international colleagues on cross jurisdictional matters.
They are looking for a commercially minded and proactive associate with a keen interest in data protection and technology law. Experience gained at a highly rated City firm will be essential for consideration. Familiarity with technical concepts like programming, network systems, or databases is strongly preferred.
