The location of the role isGlasgow (hybrid working).

The duration of the contract is6 months.

The pay rate on offer is£400 - £410 per day (via Umbrella).


Role Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Security Consultant with a strong background in AWS to join a team. This role will focus on ensuring the security of our client’s cloud technologies and architectures as they deploy GenAI solutions, and provide training to their DevOps/DevSecOps teams. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of cybersecurity experience specifically focused on cloud technologies and architectures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and enhance the security of cloud technologies and architectures.
  • Provide expert guidance on AWS security best practices.
  • Train DevOps/DevSecOps teams on robust and repeatable security practices.
  • Implement security measures for generative AI applications.
  • Contribute to the effective implementation of industry cybersecurity frameworks & industry best practice for the programme.
  • Collaborate and educate with cross-functional teams to maintain a secure cloud and AI infrastructure environment.


Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on cloud technologies and architectures.
  • Proven expertise in AWS security.
  • Excellent communication skills for training and collaboration purposes.
  • Strong understanding of generative AI and its security implications and risk management of AI related risks.
  • Good working knowledge of industry cybersecurity frameworks.


Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Security, CISSP, etc.).
  • Experience in securing the cloud for DevSecOps.
  • DevSecOps experience.
  • One or more relevant cyber security qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
