Responsibilities

Day to day, you'll be:

  • Providing 2nd line technical support remotely and on-site, troubleshooting and resolving complex IT issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Working across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and firewall technologies day to day.
  • Configuring, deploying, and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  • Troubleshooting networking, Wi-Fi, connectivity, VoIP, and security issues.
  • Taking part in customer onboarding and site setup projects as the MSP continues to grow its client base.
  • Ensuring cyber security best practices are implemented and maintained across client environments.
  • Mentoring apprentices within the support team - sharing knowledge and helping them develop.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and contributing to account management.
  • Travelling to customer sites when required for onsite support and project work.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • 3+ years' experience in an MSP environment - essential.
  • Proven 2nd line IT support experience with strong troubleshooting ability.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge - Intune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Azure AD.
  • Solid networking fundamentals - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Hands-on firewall configuration and management experience.
  • A good understanding of cyber security principles and a willingness to keep developing in this area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - this is key to the role.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable keeping documentation up to date.
  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK - both essential.

Highly desirable:

  • Relevant certifications - Microsoft, CompTIA, or cyber security.
  • Intune device management - policies, application rollout, Autopilot deployments.
  • Device deployment experience - MDT, SCCM etc.
  • Office moves and site setups - networking, Wi-Fi, end-user environments.
  • Experience mentoring or training junior team members.

What You'll Get

  • £35,000-£40,000 salary (DOE)
  • Your birthday off - every year
  • BUPA private healthcare
  • Pension scheme
  • Funded professional development and certifications
  • A genuine opportunity to be a key person in a rapidly growing business

If you're an experienced MSP engineer who wants to stay technical, work with a team that encourages better ways of working, and grow with a business that's genuinely going places - this is the role.

Where to Advertise Cyber Security Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise cyber security jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, communities and channels that reach offensive, defensive and GRC security talent. The candidate pool is small, heavily vetted and in high demand across government, financial services, critical national infrastructure and the private sector simultaneously. Many of the strongest candidates hold active security clearances, are not actively job-searching through general platforms, and move primarily through specialist networks and trusted referrals. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that security professionals expect. Specialist platforms, government-affiliated channels and cleared candidate networks each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by CybersecurityJobs.tech, covers where to advertise cyber security roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
