This role focuses on platform architecture rather than application design. You will help define and implement the core Azure infrastructure foundations that support enterprise workloads across the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Designing hybrid connectivity between on-premises environments and Azure
  • Develop comprehensive cloud and infrastructure solutions, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments, in line with organisational goals.
  • Lead the deployment and configuration of infrastructure platforms (eg, Azure, VMware, Cisco), ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Monitor and analyse infrastructure performance, recommending improvements and proactively resolving issues.
  • Optimise resource utilisation to control costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and vendor management.
  • Work closely with the DevOps, security, and operations teams to support deployments and ongoing infrastructure projects.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, driving adoption where beneficial to the organisation.

Key requirements:

  • Significant experience designing distributed enterprise Cloud Native systems in hybrid environments.
  • Both Cloud (Azure) and currently on-prem experience
  • VMWare, Cisco, Asure
  • Expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS services, and virtualisation technologies.
  • Strong understanding of networking, storage, security, and disaster recovery.
  • Proven track record in using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Experience with Configuration as Code, Policy as Code and Architecture as Code.
  • Proven ability in strategic planning and cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Desirable: Diagrams as code, ie C4 Modelling and Structurizr, Mermaid, Plantuml,
  • Desirable: Threat Modelling and Secure by design principles.
  • Desirable: Understanding of ZTNA.

This opportunity offers the chance to influence the design and evolution of large-scale Azure infrastructure platforms within a prestigious, global organisation.

Where to Advertise Cyber Security Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise cyber security jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, communities and channels that reach offensive, defensive and GRC security talent. The candidate pool is small, heavily vetted and in high demand across government, financial services, critical national infrastructure and the private sector simultaneously. Many of the strongest candidates hold active security clearances, are not actively job-searching through general platforms, and move primarily through specialist networks and trusted referrals. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that security professionals expect. Specialist platforms, government-affiliated channels and cleared candidate networks each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by CybersecurityJobs.tech, covers where to advertise cyber security roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
