What you'll be doing:

Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, your role will be to support and assist him in the review, implementation and enforcement of our SHEQ policies and regulations. Every day will be different. One day you will spend most of the day in our head office in Sawston, Cambridge, but on other days you may be travelling to one of our ten branches or to customer sites for site inspections.
 
You will get involved in developing and reviewing safe systems of work, delivering training, investigating incidents, site visits and risk assessments. You will also learn all about the ISO accreditations and support the company in complying with these plus all other Health and Safety Regulations.
 
Your colleagues will include everybody from the SHEQ Manager and administrators, to HR, branch managers and engineers. This is a brilliant industry to gain your SHEQ skills and experience as our customer sites and needs vary greatly.
 
You will be given the opportunity to train and gain your NEBOSH qualification, fully funded by the company.

What we need from you:

• This is a starter role and therefore direct experience is not required. We're more interested in your approach and commitment to the fundamentals of SHEQ processes and your willingness to learn.
• The role is full time, worked Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Some travelling (mainly by car) will be required, and candidates are asked to make sure that they are able to commit to this. Travel allowance or use of company vehicles will be provided.
• Confident and assertive, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues on all levels.
• Methodical, process driven thinker.
• Computer literate and confident with databases, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Ideally you should be based within commuting distance of our Head Office in Sawston, Cambridge.
• A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
