About the Role

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Project Manager to join a leading manufacturing company in Broadstairs. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, designed for individuals eager to learn the ins and outs of project management in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Trainee Project Manager, you will work closely with experienced Project Managers, gradually taking on more responsibility as you develop your skills. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with communication between customers and internal departments, ensuring clarity and alignment.

  • Supporting the monitoring of project timelines, ensuring adherence to lead times.

  • Learning to manage commercial aspects of projects to protect and maximise margins.

  • Assisting with data processing and implementing necessary changes.

  • Helping maintain real-time updates on project progress and communicating changes to relevant teams.

  • Observing and assisting with managing variation cost increases and other financial elements of projects.

  • Learning to identify and escalate potential project disruptions, such as underperformance or unforeseen site conditions.

  • Developing excellent customer service skills to build strong client relationships.

    What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine interest in project management and a desire to build a career in the field.

  • Some experience of working in an office environment ideally within construction or manufacturing.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and learning.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
