Westlakes Recruit is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support the delivery of a major Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) program in Riyadh. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a complex, multi-domain defence initiative requiring deep expertise in systems engineering, integration, and technical oversight.
Please note:

This role is based on-site in Riyadh and therefore requires candidates who are willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with stakeholders, end users, and technical teams to elicit, capture, and validate requirements at operational, system, and subsystem levels.

Translate high-level operational concepts and mission needs into clear, testable technical requirements and user stories.

Conduct requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability to ensure alignment with project objectives and standards.

Identify and manage integration points and dependencies across C5I subsystems, legacy systems, and external partners.

Support the development and maintenance of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and integration plans.

Collaborate with systems architects, engineers, and program managers to ensure coherent system design across hardware, software, and networks.

Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and change management activities.

Contribute to test planning, verification & validation (V&V), and acceptance to ensure compliance with requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in requirements engineering or business analysis within complex defence or C5I projects.

Strong understanding of systems integration principles and managing interdependencies in multi-domain programs.

Familiarity with systems engineering standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 15288, INCOSE guidelines) and requirements management best practices.

Ability to work across technical disciplines (software, hardware, networks, security, human factors).

Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools or traditional requirements management tools.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

Experience within C5I or defence platforms, particularly land environments.

Knowledge of enterprise and system architectures (e.g., DoDAF, NAF).

Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or DevSecOps delivery environments.

Understanding of information assurance or cybersecurity requirements.
