An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join a dynamic Research and Development team based in Newtown, Wales. The successful candidate will lead the design and validation of electronic circuits for variable speed inverters and other industrial control products. This role is critical in driving innovation while ensuring high standards in reliability, performance, and compliance.

Working out of the R&D facility in Newtown, Wales, the Senior Electronics Engineer will be responsible for developing designs that meet cost, manufacturability, and quality targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical understanding of electronics and EMC principles, along with a proactive approach to emerging technologies.

This Newtown, Wales-based position involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and will include supervising other engineers, participating in design reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement in tools and processes. The engineer will plan and manage their own workload, ensuring that deliverables are met within agreed project schedules.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Electronics Engineer role in Newtown, Wales include:



Leading hardware design within cross-functional development teams.

Developing electronic components, PCBs, and sub-assemblies.

Participating in and hosting technical reviews.

*

Preparing thorough design documentation and test reports.

*

Supporting safe and effective engineering practices.

The successful applicant will be based full-time in Newtown, Wales, a key engineering hub for the business, where they will work closely with the Product Development Director and other senior technical leaders.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

*

Substantial industrial experience in product development.

*

Strong analytical and communication skills.

*

Ability to work within structured teams and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

*

Chartered Engineer status.

*

Experience in functional safety and EMC compliance.

*

Master’s degree and knowledge of manufacturing for industrial electronic products.
