Security Solutions Architect


  • Remote based role in the UK
  • £625 - £675 per day
  • Outside IR35
  • 3 months rolling contract


We are seeking aSecurity Solutions Architectto design and guide the implementation of solutions across our leading UK based Utilities client on behalf of a major Cyber Improvement Programme.


AsSecurity Solutions Architectyour role will involve co-creating solutions for all of the Cyber Improvement workstreams

  • Cyber Defence (SOC/EDR)
  • IDAM
  • Cyber Recovery (CRaaS, out of band communications and Recovery Designs)
  • Cyber Threat Protection (vulnerability management and Service Now IRM integration)


Security Solutions Architect Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of the leads to enable solutions that improve maturity and reduce risk, in line with Programme goals.
  • Work with customers in multiple business units to understand and balance conflicting priorities and constraints
  • Work with technical and service stakeholders to deliver security solutions that enable our operational value streams for cyber security.
  • Lead solutions options assessments, under the direction of Enterprise Architecture, to specify new solutions that meet our business needs and are maintainable
  • Lead solution designs for key re-architecture activities
  • For example, moving to a data-centric architecture in the Cyber Defence workstream.
  • Support procurement exercises for security solutions
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and CIP SMEs to align our work with Enterprise IT (our parent business unit)
  • Support ad-hoc tactical initiatives


Security Solutions Architect Qualifications and experience:


  • Proactive approach and ability to lead and shape complex deliveries in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Proven commercial experience as a Security Solutions Architect
  • Strong architectural and design skills, with the ability to develop scalable and secure solutions that operate as services
  • Experience with at least one Enterprise Architecture framework (Zachman, Togaf SABSA or similar)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset, capable of anticipating future needs and trends in cyber security
  • Experience of supporting procurement exercises and implementations
