About the role As SecurityEngineer, you’ll be responsible for delivery of the SecurityEngineering strategy across our Hydro sites. The role will ensureSecurity Engineering compliance, including NIS compliance andgovernance. You’ll work to delivery innovative and strategicmaintenance initiatives and plans that optimise risk, performanceand capital expenditure tailored to meet Security requirements,related to Cyber, physical and market economics. This role coversall plants within our Hydro business which includes 8 conventionalhydro stations (126MW) and a pump storage station (440MW). Thestations are located from Tongland at the Solway Firth to Cruachanthat is situated on the banks of Loch Awe approximately 180 milesapart. On average you’ll be expected to attend one of the sites perweek with some office attendance at the Glasgow office for teamcollaboration. This role also allows for some home working. Wedon’t offer a car allowance, but mileage will be paid from yourhome to the site location (excluding the Glasgow office). A validUK driving licence is essential for this role. Who we’re lookingfor Ideally, you’ll hold a degree level qualification in a relevantsubject, and a background working in cyber security, networksecurity or control & instrumentation engineering. You’ll needa good understanding of network security technologies and processesincluding an understanding of current and emerging security threatsand an awareness of systems and methods to counter them.Additionally, you’ll have knowledge of TCP/IP including routingprotocols, management protocols, TLS Modbus over TCP/IP, IndustrialEthernet technologies. Specific experience and knowledge of NISregulations is highly beneficial together with knowledge ofIEC62443.
