Your purpose:

  • As part of our Nuclear New Build business, our Project Delivery Capability team specialises in taking on complex engineering projects and opportunities that exist across the board, from technical leadership to project management. With existing relationships with the major stakeholders in the nuclear sector, we offer a hugely stimulating variety of work, within a team which is rapidly developing to support the delivery of New Nuclear Build. Our projects are on a global scale with opportunities across the UK, Europe, and Middle East, across a range of projects in both the Large Civil Nuclear market and the emerging New Nuclear Technologies market.
  • Working as a Project Manager, you will be working across our Nuclear New Build business, either leading the delivery of Atkins engineering projects or embedded into our clients' programmes. We are recruiting predominately in the Bristol and Epsom locations where you will join a team with a diverse mix of people from all around the world. Our Bristol office predominately focuses on supporting the Hinkley Point C project, the Small Modular Reactor programme, and the UK EPR design centre, while our Epsom office will focus on supporting the Sizewell C project and our UKAEA client. As we support our clients you will be expected to travel and work from client sites across the UK as the role, project or secondment requires.

Typically, the role and responsibilities of anAtkinsRéalisProject Manager will include:

  • Taking the lead for delivery at work package level.
  • Building on an ongoing track record of delivery against defined margin, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Reviewing, measuring, and adhering to procedures and standards set externally/internally.


Ideally you are:

  • Excellent with communicative skills and motivated by working within a dynamic and diverse project delivery environment.
  • Adamant on new challenges and will be keen to learn, whilst also wanting to support others within our multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Confident with your experience of Project Management in a Project environment, to deliver outputs/outcomes to agreed time, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Experienced in stakeholder management.
  • Familiar with a range of PM tools such as MS Project, Online Stage Gates, Enterprise Advantage, iGate, JDE.
