Power Platform Developer & IT Manager

Role Overview

This is a hybrid strategic and hands-on role combining low-code development (Power Platform) with internal IT leadership. You’ll drive automation, manage our Microsoft environment, support end users, and help shape the digital strategy of a growing SME delivering technology-led solutions to manufacturing clients.

This is a unique opportunity for a technically capable, business-minded IT professional who wants to build, own, and improve systems—not just maintain them.

Key Responsibilities

Power Platform Development (50–60%)

  • Design, build and maintain Power Automate flows across sales, service, stock and finance functions

  • Develop internal apps using Power Apps to support van drivers, stores, and customer site activities

  • Build Power BI dashboards linked to SQL (Tesseract), SharePoint, and Dynamics 365

  • Create integrations between Microsoft 365, ERP and CRM using Power Platform and custom connectors

  • Support adoption of AI tooling such as ChatGPT Team and Microsoft CoPilot

    IT Management & Support (30–40%)

  • Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment: Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Defender, Intune

  • Oversee endpoint security, backups (e.g. Veeam), asset management and patching

  • Act as escalation for internal IT support (Tier 2+)

  • Manage relationships with outsourced IT providers and ensure smooth service delivery

  • Administer licences, permissions, and user lifecycle processes

    Strategic & Advisory (10–20%)

  • Lead digital transformation projects (e.g. quoting automation, AI integration)

  • Provide internal training and documentation on systems and tools

  • Evaluate new technology and align IT strategy with business growth

  • Contribute to cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management efforts

    Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience developing in Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)

  • Solid grasp of Microsoft 365 administration (Azure AD, Intune, Defender, Teams)

  • Comfortable working with SQL Server-based systems and building data connections

  • Ability to manage or oversee endpoint and infrastructure support in an SME

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Process improvement mindset and strong documentation habits

    Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Dynamics 365 and Business Central

  • Familiarity with ERP systems

  • PowerShell scripting and API integration skills

  • Experience implementing AI tools like ChatGPT, Azure OpenAI, or Microsoft Copilot

  • Exposure to Cyber Essentials, ISO27001, or GDPR best practices

    Ideal Candidate Profile

  • You enjoy solving problems and automating manual tasks.

  • You can think strategically while delivering hands-on results.

  • You’re confident working cross-functionally with sales, operations, finance and service teams.

  • You want to build systems that make people’s work easier—not just maintain infrastructure
