JavaScript (Node.js) Developer
Based in Bridgend - 3 days on-site per week
£40,000 - £60,000 DOE

CPS Group is proud to be supporting a long-standing client within the insurance space, as they look to expand their internal tech team with the addition of a skilled JavaScript (Node.js) Developer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, security-conscious organisation and play a key role in developing high-performance, cloud-based applications that support critical business functions - particularly across call centre and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable applications using JavaScript (Node.js, Express, Koa)
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs across various services
  • Deploy solutions on Microsoft Azure with a focus on resilience and scalability
  • Create workflows and solutions using the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate; minor Power BI involvement)
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Champion a cybersecurity-first approach across all phases of development
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical needs and translate them into deliverable features

    Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Expert in Node.js, Express, Koa - core to the role
  • Confident in building and consuming APIs
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing apps in Azure
  • Proficient with Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps
  • Strong understanding of secure coding principles

    Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with C#, particularly within Dynamics 365 environments
  • Background in insurance, call centre, or other regulated sectors
  • Familiarity with Azure API Management (APIM)
  • Exposure to security tools such as SonarQube, Wiz, Axonius, or Qualys
  • Experience with CXOne or Nice inContact is a major advantage
