The Opportunity

The Nutanix Networking & Security Solutions Architect combines deep technical expertise with a keen understanding of how to address the critical business needs of enterprise customers through Nutanix products and solutions.The Nutanix Networking & Security Solutions Architect is a high-impact, high-visibility role, working with both customers and Systems Engineers across the region and is a senior member of the Systems Engineering organisation at Nutanix.The role provides expert level involvement and knowledge specifically for Nutanix networking and security and can effectively manage priorities to work with multiple Nutanix and customer resources simultaneously. Responsibilities:Be a self-starter who can flourish in a dynamic technology companySupport our sales teams and customers on large and/or strategic opportunitiesLove for solving complex distributed networking and security problemsEngage with senior technical decision makers throughout the sales processPresent and discuss the value proposition(s) associated with your specializationBuild long-term business relationships and become a trusted advisor to identify opportunities and sell Nutanix SolutionsAbility to demonstrate and improve reseller/alliance partner relationships to increase salesBuild and deliver Nutanix technical product and solution presentations and/or training sessions to customers, partners, and Nutanix SEs as neededInstall, support, and maintain Nutanix solutions during Proof of Concept (POC) deploymentsStay well ahead of the learning curve in your area of expertise and related business trendsAssess and design Nutanix solutions to protect customers against malware such as viruses, bots, phishing, and against network intrusion attacks.Experience with IDS, IPS, and in-band network security appliances to detect and prevent security attacks and threats. Evaluate current industry best solutions and make recommendations for adoption of Nutanix solutions.Assist with required security auditing relating to Nutanix products as related to ISO and SOX to support customers' compliance and regulatory requirements.Evaluate customer's business strategy to help with design and implementation of Nutanix network solutions to provide high performance and secure communication.Excellent knowledge of Physical and Virtual Networking and routing.Experience with Dynamic Routing protocols, Direct Connect Solutions, and VPN Tunnelling.Demonstrable experience of Software Defined Networking design, implementation, and management.Deep understanding of multi-cloud networking and connectivity within the datacentre and to/from public cloud (AWS, Azure & GCP)Good knowledge of Security best practices with regard to network perimeter, East/West and common security concerns (Ransomware, DDOS etc)Help with defining Nutanix security controls and policies for customers to allow employees and business processes to execute unimpeded. Long-term assist with security strategy and posture.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience5-8 years prior Sales Engineering or Reseller experience in a high-tech sales environment with a proven track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology5-8 years of networking and security experience --
