Reporting into the Head of InfrastructureOperations, the Network and Security Engineer is key to supportingTelent’s transformational programmes and continual serviceimprovement, providing design, implementation and support ofbusiness-critical systems across the Telent ICT estate. This is ahybrid working role, with a requirement to attend a Telent officeas and when required. What You’ll Do: - Act as a design authorityfor Telent’s Corporate Enterprise network, where you will produce,peer-review, and maintain high-level and low-level technicaldocumentation and network schematics. - Design, deploy and supportnetwork and security solutions within the Telent group, utilisingCisco plaforms such as Software-Defined Access (SDA) and SD-WAN. -Provide technical support to the business, and resolve networkrelated incidents in a timely manner. - Maintain the securityposture of Telent’s network infrastructure through the use ofcentralised authentication (ISE), Cisco Umbrella, and FTD/ASAfirewalls. - Perform BAU activities such as software upgrades andcertificate management - Utilise monitoring platforms such as CiscoThousandEyes and Catalyst Centre. - Oversee relationships withthird parties who provide network support to Telent’s enterprisenetwork - Manage vendor contracts and licenses to ensure allenterprise infrastructure is maintained and supported. - Supportthe delivery of Security Architectures/Strategies as part of abroader Enterprise and IS/IT Architecture. - Evaluate emergingtechnologies and deliver proof-of-value environments to supportbusiness needs. - Identify and mitigate technology and servicerisks. - Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rota (one week permonth). Who You Are: We welcome applicants from all backgrounds whocan demonstrate their experience of designing, managing orsupporting enterprise networks. KeyRequirements: - CCNP Security or CCNP Enterprise Infrastructurecertification - Experience of working with enterprise securitytechnologies, such as centralized authentication (ISE), 802.1x,VPNs, and firewall/certificate management. - Experience with CiscoWireless LAN Solutions. - Familiar with Software Definedtechnologies such as SD-WAN and Software Defined Access. -Awareness of current trends and developments in informationtechnology. - Ability to own and manage network related incidents,and communicate effectively with other business stakeholders duringoutages. - A full UK driving license and availability for on-callsupport one week per month.
