Network Security Engineer – Peterborough (Hybrid) - £75,000 - £100,000 + Bonus + BenefitsWe’re looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and maintain critical networking infrastructure while driving automation and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco ACI infrastructure.Develop automation solutions for network tasks using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.Engineer and support enterprise-grade network systems, including Cisco routers, Nexus data centre switches, and wireless LAN controllers.Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring adherence to robust security standards.Deploy and administer network access control solutions with Cisco ISE (802.1x and TACACS).Optimise uptime and performance using F5 Big-IP load balancers.Design and manage advanced routing solutions with protocols such as BGP and OSPF, as well as SD-WAN implementations.Utilise tools like SolarWinds to monitor and proactively address network performance issues.Maintain high-performing Wi-Fi networks in large office setups.Implement and support networking in Azure, including ExpressRoute and virtual network configurations.Contribute to a global, 24/7 enterprise environment while mentoring junior team members.Provide occasional weekend and on-call support.What You Bring:Extensive experience with Cisco networking, including routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.Deep understanding of Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, and security tools such as Cisco ISE.Hands-on knowledge of F5 Big-IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network monitoring with SolarWinds.Strong familiarity with Azure cloud networking and virtualisation concepts.Advanced scripting and automation skills using tools like Python, Ansible, and Terraform.Relevant certifications (e.G., CCNP) or equivalent experience.Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.Opportunities to Grow:Personalised mentoring to develop your skills.Access to leadership training and professional development initiatives.Continuous learning through courses and skill-enhancing opportunities.Our client offers a great working environment with various progression plans to suite your career goals, in addition to a generous benefits package including a 10% bonus, family private healthcare, a generous pension scheme, 25 days of annual leave, share options, flexible working options, and more.If this role is of interest, please apply or reach out to Jacob – / & McCloud are the UK’s leading cyber security & information security staffing company – through having a sole focus on the cyber & information security space we have been able to foster solid relationships with some of the UK’s most exciting cyber security consultancies & end users.
