Your day at NTT DATA

We are currently looking for a Network and Security Engineer to join our talented Technical Services team in Luxembourg. We invite to apply anyone who can make daily operational changes and troubleshooting in medium to complex secure network infrastructures, while developing a trusted relationship with our clients. The primary function of the role is to work closely with our clients, mostly onsite in Luxembourg, to support them in their operations, improving their infrastructures and processes, and solving production incidents. As an engineer, you will also be involved in implementation projects, configuration changes and technical advisory.

What you'll be doing

As a Network and Security Engineer, you will:

  • support the client’s operations and apply appropriate troubleshooting methodology in the context of changes, incidents and projects,
  • create technical documentation – procedures, network device configs, migration plans, instructions for technicians, test scenarios…
  • be responsible for implementation of Network and Security solutions in autonomy or within a team – LAN/WLAN/WAN, DC, legacy and SDN topologies, firewalls, proxies,
  • work closely with the architect of the project and participate in the design phase,
  • cooperate with suppliers of hardware and their support services when necessary during operations and projects.

    As a member of the Technical Services team, you will:

  • demonstrate positive and efficient collaboration with our team of engineers and project managers,
  • be a subject-matter expert in our team in technology you are most proficient in – create recommendations, sharing your knowledge and be aware of good practices on the market,
  • participate in projects in Luxembourg and sometimes remotely for NTT's global clients,
  • work with engineers and business owners on client-side, working from locations around the world,
  • work and communicate mostly in English in a multicultural team.

    Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations of Network solutions: Cisco LAN/WLAN, DC and/or WAN network solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in operations of Secure Network solutions: Check Point firewalls and IPS, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Cisco ISE
  • knowledge of Cisco WLC 9800, Cisco ACI, Cisco Catalyst Center, F5 BIG-IP is an asset,
  • network automation and programming skills,
  • Cisco CCNP Enterprise Networking certification or equivalent,
  • Check Point and/or Palo Alto Networks and/or F5 certification or equivalent,
  • Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate certification is an asset,
  • experience in working onsite in client facilities,
  • editorial skills and English language proficiency (B2 level or higher),
  • good administration and project documentation experience,
  • communicativeness and enthusiasm in relations with the clients and colleagues,
  • entrepreneurial attitude and proactive sharing of knowledge,
  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years or Master’s degree with 4 years Computer Science related experience,
  • a work permit to work in Luxembourg,
  • a driver license.
