About Us:
Our bulk fuels storage client is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. They are currently seeking a dedicated Mechanical Technician to join their team. Position Objective:
As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repair tasks at the Depot. Your role will involve working closely with other team members to ensure all activities comply with safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Self-Management:

Embrace process safety as a core part of our culture, ensuring all tasks are executed safely.
Take responsibility for health and safety in compliance with the Health & Safety Act (1974).
Wear PPE as required.
Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) and Risk Assessment protocols.
Follow Permit to Work procedures.
Ensure all activities align with organisational policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Engage in ongoing training linked to the Competence Profile.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.Operations:

Utilise oil spill techniques as required.
Participate in an On-Call Rostered Team.
Be open to short-notice overtime assignments.
Conduct checks and calibrations to assure instrument accuracy.
Perform quality inspections and respond promptly to equipment breakdowns.
Diagnose and fix faults, or arrange for replacements as necessary.
Keep line managers updated on maintenance progress.
Overhaul and replace parts according to maintenance schedules.
Fit and assemble mechanical components utilizing appropriate machinery and hand tools.
Complete Job Request Sheets and Planned Maintenance Cards accurately.
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to adhere to engineering standards.
Assist with the receipt and issue of POL products to H.M Navy and other authorized customers as required.
Conduct confined space operations (subject to training and medical fitness).
Comply with fire and safety regulations as well as health, safety, and environmental regulations.Who We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will possess:

Relevant Engineering Craft/Technician qualifications.
Completed a Modern Day Craft Apprenticeship or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Strong collaborative skills and a professional demeanor.
