Remote Role | Reports to Global Head of M&A, Divestitures, and Private Equity

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Managing Director, Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures - IT/Cybersecurity, to join M&A/D and Private Equity practice. Reporting to the Global Head of M&A, Divestitures, and Private Equity, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Strategic Advising: Leading technical and strategic planning sessions to accelerate value creation, preserve value, and capture synergies during post-merger integrations or divestitures.
  • Innovative Enablement: Helping clients understand and incorporate Zscaler’s cutting-edge capabilities to securely facilitate seamless post-merger integration processes.
  • Executive Relationship Development: Building and nurturing relationships with C-suite executives, prospects, and partners to lead consultative engagements that drive impactful transformations and deliver client success.
  • Revenue Generation: Owning revenue growth initiatives with a keen focus on M&A and Divestiture solutions, aligning efforts to meet or exceed business targets from strategic buyers and private equity firms.

What we’re looking for (Minimum Qualification)

  • Advisory Expertise: Extensive consulting background in cybersecurity, zero trust, networking, cloud computing, and/or artificial intelligence, ideally honed at a Big 5 consulting firm or an MBB (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) firm.
  • Delivery Mastery: Proven success leading strategy, planning, and transformation initiatives during M&A integrations or Divestiture separations.
  • Global Perspective: Hands-on experience with pre- and post-closure M&A/D transactions across EMEA and APAC regions.
  • Practice Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead an advisory practice, encompassing pipeline development, client acquisition, customer success, and quota attainment.

Executive Relationships: Adept at cultivating strong C-suite and senior executive relationships with clients, prospects, and partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • To differentiate yourself in this role, you possess qualities that elevate your leadership style and technical acumen:
  • Thought Leadership: Passion for guiding clients through complex transactions, coupled with a commitment to continuous learning and personal growth in M&A/D, cyber risk, and post-merger integration (PMI).

Technical Fluency: A deep understanding of integration/separation approaches which leverage industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, SASE, MITRE ATT&CK, Zero Trust) and comprehensive risk mitigation strategies.
