We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Consultant to join our team. This role combines both office and home-based work, with travel required to attend on site visits with clients in Essex and London to establish and maintain relationships. In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary range of £40,000 to £45,000 p.a. (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

Location: Hybrid based in Essex. Must be prepared to travel in Essex and London
Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with clients to understand their HR needs and develop customised solutions by becoming the client’s trusted commercial HR advisor.
• Provide guidance on different solutions from HR best practice to solutions that meet our client’s budget and aspirations around the full employee lifecycle ie: recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and compliance.
• Conduct HR audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Attend on client site to support with ER matters in a supportive way.
• Working alongside small business owners to create commercial, bespoke contracts / handbooks and policies to ensure their small businesses is compliant.
• Assist clients with employee onboarding, training, and development programs.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
• Provide ongoing support and advice to clients on HR-related matters in a timely, commercial and friendly manner.
Skills and Experience:
• Educational Background: Level 3 qualifications obtained, degree level desirable
• Professional HR Certification: Certification from a recognised HR institution (e.g., CIPD Level 5) is highly desirable, indicating a deep commitment to HR excellence.
• Senior HR Experience: At least 5 years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience in an outsourced HR provider or a small business is preferred, but not required.
• Hands-on experience of managing complex employee issues, including conflict resolution, redundancies, grievances, disciplinaries, sickness and capability, and legal compliance.
