Children’s Support Worker – Ribchester

Location: Ribchester, Lancashire
Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week (flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, and late nights)
Pay: From £13.75 per hour
Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Children’s Support Worker to join a specialist school setting in the Ribchester area.

About the Role

You will be working closely with children and young people with a range of complex needs, providing care, guidance, and emotional support to help them thrive in both their education and daily lives. This is a challenging but deeply rewarding role where your support can have a lasting impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils during school and residential hours.
Promoting independence, personal development, and social skills.
Assisting with daily routines, including personal care where required.
Contributing to care plans and attending team meetings.
Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

Have previous experience in support work (ideally with children or young people with additional needs).
Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
Be flexible and able to work varied shifts across the week.
Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check prior to starting.
