An opportunity has arisen for a Fire & Security Engineer to join our expanding mobile contract covering London and surrounding areas. A company van (for business use only) and fuel card are provided. There are significant development opportunities in this role, with ongoing training for our engineers.

Job Purpose:

To support on-site engineers and clients by carrying out system maintenance, reactive tasks, and small or extra works on CCTV, access control, security systems, and automatic fire systems for both internal and external clients.

What you will do:
Support on-site engineers and clients.
Carry out system maintenance, reactive tasks, and small or extra works on CCTV, access control, security systems, and fire systems.
Preferably have a multi-disciplined background in Fire and Security; knowledge of working with large commercial clients and various manufacturers is advantageous.
Work with large Blue-Chip Clients in the South East and surrounding regions.
Provide planned preventive maintenance, system repairs, small works, and system commissioning in line with client requirements.
Prepare dilapidation reports for new contracts and recommend improvements.
Support design, support, and quotation delivery following British Standards.
Maintain strong communication with clients and EMCOR UK.
Ensure policies, procedures, and standards are followed to maintain contract integrity and high-quality service.
Maintain service portfolios to meet quality standards and external verification requirements.
Comply with health, safety, security, environmental, and technical policies, ensuring high standards of discipline.
Complete risk assessments for all tasks.
Wear PPE as required.
Complete works in accordance with British Standards and good practices.
Submit timesheets, mileage, and administrative paperwork promptly.
Coordinate closely with the EMCOR UK Service Centre.
Follow up on non-compliance and recommendations with quotations.
Perform any other duties as required.
Person Specification
Minimum 2 years’ experience in servicing, maintaining, and installing CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, intercoms, and fire systems.
Strong knowledge of British Standards, NSI, and LPCB standards; excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Experience with permits to work, method statements, and risk assessments.
Advanced PC and LAN/WAN networking skills.
Health & Safety trained.
Experience in system design, surveying, estimating, and quotations.
Ability to plan and deliver a program of works or PPM schedules within deadlines.
