Director, Security Engineer

Fitch's Information Security team is currently seeking a lead Security Engineer based out of our New York, Chicago, or London (UK) offices.

We'll Count on You To:

  • Lead a team of security architects and engineers
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the design security solutions for Fitch's strategic initiatives within cloud environments, applications, physical networks, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies
  • Manage team security projects through their complete lifecycle with minimal oversight
  • Assess security risks from proposed or implemented solutions and propose secure alternatives
  • Review application and infrastructure change documentation and make security recommendations
  • Advise on security policies, standards, procedures, and metrics, and participate in tool management
  • Oversee development of comprehensive security design documentation for new technology implementations
  • Develop comprehensive AI security principles and control documentation to enable protection and compliance across AI driven processes and technologies

What You Need to Have:

  • 2-7 years of experience managing a team responsible for designing and assessing security solutions
  • Proven ability to deliver cross-functional projects on time through development and tracking of milestones
  • Experience with budgets, metrics, and strategy development
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing architectures and containerized delivery models
  • Experience with cloud security, particularly in AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Hands-on experience in threat modeling and architectural security assessments
  • Knowledge of secure network designs and server architectures

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Familiarity with security-related regulatory requirements and frameworks
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CISA, CISM, Security+
  • Cloud security certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical challenges to diverse audiences
  • Ability to support a 24/7 on-call function
  • Experience with the design and testing of security controls for Artificial Intelligence
