We are working with a purpose-driven technology business with a growing events arm. Their mission is to help build a sovereign, self-sustaining tech ecosystem in Europe - one that brings together leaders across tech, cybersecurity, investment, and government to drive meaningful progress.

Following a highly successful inaugural event with over 1,500 industry leaders, the business is now looking to scale. As part of this growth, they are seeking an experienced Events Sales Director to take ownership of commercial success for their next event in Berlin, and to help lay the foundations for a world-class events team.

The Opportunity

As Events Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving both sponsorship and delegate revenue, using a combination of outbound outreach, strategic partnerships, and deep industry connections.

This is a high-impact role for someone who is commercially driven, comfortable working at a strategic level, but equally happy rolling up their sleeves and executing. You will also play a key role in shaping the longer-term events function as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end commercial strategy for a large-scale, high-profile tech event

Drive sponsor acquisition and delegate sales through cold outreach, networking, and relationship-building

Leverage your network of contacts across Tech, VC-backed companies, SaaS, and Cyber sectors

Represent the brand at industry and competitor events

Secure and lead 1:1 sales meetings with senior stakeholders

Work collaboratively with internal teams to align messaging, pricing, and timelines

Help define and recruit for a future commercial events team

What We're Looking For

Proven success in commercial sales for large-scale tech events (1,000+ attendees)

Strong network across technology, SaaS, investment, or cyber sectors

A confident and credible communicator, comfortable operating with senior-level stakeholders

Ability to work both strategically and operationally - you're not afraid to pick up the phone

Experience driving commercial success via cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and events

Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin (3 days per week in office required)
