WHAT IS ON OFFER


Alfred H Knight is looking for a dedicated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team here in Liverpool. In this role you will ensure AHK systems remain protected at all times with respect to cybersecurity. As a key player in a close knit team, you will lead the monitoring, detection, and resolution of cyber threats, ensuring our systems remain secure at all times. You will also collaborate with other departments to share your cybersecurity expertise and help drive best practices across the business.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?


To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential 

Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, and security technologies. 


Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Powershell, Python, Bash). 
Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS). 
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to security. 

Required Work Experience

Significant experience, typically demonstrated by 5 years or more, in an infrastructure or security related role.

Required Qualifications

Educated to degree level or above in an IT related field.


CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CISM (preferred).

Travel 


Occasional travel may be required to UK and Overseas locations.
